Welcome to my SEO Blog! But of course, you guessed that’s where you were, from the headline right above that shouts it: BLOG! I’m reminded of my college days of riding the bus to and from home. When the bus came into Des Moines, it passed a seedy part of town. There was a building beside the highway that was a pharmacy, with DRUGS in 5 or 6 foot high neon letters, but it could have been indicating that the under-the-counter kind could also be had. Sort of a statement of the obvious.
I can promise you that this won’t be a collection of posts about dry, boring, techy things, having to do with writing and SEO. At least, I’ll do my best not to put you to sleep! Should such a subject be treated here, it will be easy to follow and, hopefully, entertaining.
From time to time I’ll include posts connected with my experiences, that may or may not tie in with SEO. I’ve made pizzas in a college town, worked front office for a family doc, a pathologist and a dentist. For 13 years I owned a typesetting/graphic design company. I’ve taught middle/upper school science and math. For 20 years I wrote about racing, mainly motocross, for a weekly publication with national/international distribution. And for 16 years, I owned and operated a grounds maintenance company. I can tell you about turf grass, weeds and bugs, and customer relations. You learn a lot being a sole proprietor.
The thing is, every one of your life experiences links with something else that appears totally unrelated. Just like in the butterfly effect developed in chaos theory, small actions or happenstances can lead to monumental changes in your life. You never know what’s going on just around the corner, or in other people’s minds.
So… Relax with a nice cup of whatever. Get comfy. And feel free to post any comments that might occur to you to pass on. I’m always learning from you!
