Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We’ll only collect or have access to information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not share, sell or rent this information to anyone. Further, we cannot see your payment information, so you will need to resubmit it yourself if your order somehow does not process.
We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to fulfill an order.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.
Your Access to and Control over Information
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can contact us via the contact page on our website to:
-
See what data we have about you, if any.
-
Change or correct any data we have about you.
-
Have us delete any data we have about you.
-
Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Whenever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page. We do not store any financial information such as credit card numbers, etc.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees of Barbara Williams SEO who require access to the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Analytics
Barbara Williams SEO makes use of analytical tools to track behavior over time on our website. The data collected through analytics is not personally identifiable & may in no way be associated with any individual.
Updates
Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time and all updates will be posted on this page.
Policies for Services
Upon purchase, the appropriate questionnaire will be automatically emailed to you. Please complete it, scan and email the completed questionnaire back to me. This will give us the basis to set up your account and begin the process.
We do not store or sell your information, especially sensitive financial details. The only reason we ask for them in the first place is to complete your transactions. We’ll notify you in case of errors connected to your payments, but we have no access to your financial information and it is not stored on our website.
If you wish to review or change the information that we do have on file for you, please notify us in writing and we’ll share it with you. Tell us what changes you want and we’ll amend your account to reflect them.
SEO
If you have a WordPress website that is a free version (hosted by WordPress), please upgrade or change it to a self-hosted version. We are prevented by the free version from installing the necessary plugins and other options to effect the best SEO. Plus, that move will allow your site to load faster, which is very important for user satisfaction.
Whichever SEO package you choose from us, know this: We will need access behind the curtain of your website in order to properly optimize it. Upon purchase, you will receive a questionnaire for the details of what’s to be done. Please include your login details. We promise to use them only for access in order to perform SEO.
Unless directed by you, we will keep all SEO operations for your website on-page. No coding will be involved, unless done automatically by any plugins on your site.
You should know that we consider your photos’ titles and alt text to be very important for SEO. But you might not have been aware of that when you uploaded the images to your media gallery. This is easily fixable, but if you have many pictures, it will take some time to properly apply SEO. For this reason, we consider 10 images = 1 page.
Content Creation
From time to time we will advise that you add more content to give the crawl spiders more interesting information to investigate and categorize. This usually does not mean that we want you to add more pages, although that’s certainly a possibility. Rather, it refers to pages, posts and products that have less than 300 words. Search engines prefer to have more to work with, as they consider that more words will generally mean more information and therefore, more authority.
Longer content should be relevant to the subject at hand, and contain synonyms of your keywords for more opportunities to rank in a search. Believe me, it’s a lot easier to use your keywords in a normal way if you don’t have to position them one after another. Your wording will flow better and not sound weird.
We’re more than happy to create vibrant, relevant content for you – in whatever capacity – and to that end we’ll send you a questionnaire to complete first. Before we can advise you on a price for your project, we prefer to be absolutely sure of its purpose, length, frequency and subject. Once those have been determined, we’ll draw up a contract including them and anything else that might come up, to be signed by both parties.
Changes
Before we amend anything – for instance, if we see a need to add some links, or if a 1-sentence paragraph needs to be divided – we’ll get your permission. Count on it. We’ll tell you what we have in mind, and ask if you’ll be okay with it. Feel free to give your opinion, as you may well have a better idea.
However, once we’ve finished your project, please don’t ask us to make major changes unless there’s a problem that’s from our actions. If you do request for us to make changes, we’ll estimate the time it will take and advise you. Then you may purchase the corresponding units of company time and work will commence.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds, except in special circumstances. Services are considered to begin upon verification of payment for your order, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to starting work on your project. If you experience a medical emergency, or in case of natural disaster, please contact us and we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement on the status of our work on your behalf.
Limitation of Liability
Neither you as our client, nor we as the provider, will be held liable to each other or any third party for any incidental or consequential damages outside our control. For instance, we’re not responsible if a tornado takes out the power so no one can order your products.
In addition, we make no warranty of any kind concerning any third party services, software, equipment, products, content or hardware. This applies to possible interruptions of internet service and critical failures of equipment.
Warranty
Barbara Williams SEO makes no claims that your website will attain Google’s #1 search ranking, within days or ever. Search results come about because of the synergy of many moving parts. Keywords that people actually use, that they want to search for, and that are relevant to your website are just the first to be considered.
What we can guarantee is that we will do our best to create a trail of little snacks to entice the crawl spiders to visit your website frequently. This will be accomplished using both on-page SEO and off-site (aka, local) optimizations including, but not limited to, Google My Business, Yelp, Manta, neighborhood social sites and the like. We will not be held liable for any decrease in traffic or any loss in sales because of the effects of new search engine algorithms.
